Dive into Terror at the NDYC Haunted House: “Under the Sea”

This Halloween season, the Nelson and District Youth Centre (NDYC) invites brave souls to take the plunge under the sea — but this is no ordinary ocean. On Saturday, October 25, the NDYC transforms into a deep-sea nightmare with its annual Haunted House, and this year’s theme is sure to send chills down your spine.

Expect eerie shipwrecks, ghostly sea creatures, and unexpected scares lurking around every corner, all in support of youth programming in our community.

Two Ways to Explore the Depths:

No-Scare Maze (12:00 PM – 4:00 PM): For younger visitors, families, or those who prefer a calmer experience, the haunted maze will be open without any jump scares. It’s the perfect way to enjoy the spooky setting, minus the screams.

Full Scare Experience (6:00 PM – 9:00 PM): Once darkness falls, the monsters come out. Actors will be in full force to startle and surprise--no touching, just good old-fashioned haunted house fun.

Entry is by donation, and every dollar raised goes directly back to supporting NDYC programs for local youth. This year’s scarefest will also feature a silent auction table, loaded with amazing items and experiences to bid on, donated from local businesses. The concession will be open and selling treats (no tricks!) so come hungry, or feed your courage.

Please note: The skatepark will be closed for the day, as the lights will be turned off to enhance the haunted house experience.

Location: Nelson and District Youth Centre

Date: Saturday, October 25

Time: No-Scare: 12 PM – 4 PM / Full Scare: 6 PM – 9 PM

Admission: By Donation

Proceeds: 100% support NDYC youth programs

Don't miss your chance to see what nightmares lie under the sea — we’ll be waiting.
