Vegetation management in the rights-of-way is primarily manual using mechanical removal, such as mowing, trimming, and cutting. Nelson Hydro has never and has no plans for widespread application of pesticides in its rights-of-ways. Nelson Hydro has only applied glysphosate twice within the last 10-years, both times at our locked, fenced facilities.
Nelson Hydro is open to making changes to its Rights-of-Way PMP and this workshop is to discuss the options and path forward to improve the plan.
